Veteran actor M.N.Nambiar passed away yesterday in Chennai due to his bad health. He is aged 89. It is a great loss to the movie people as well as the public, since he has been a great actor who dragged the hearts of millions, even though performing villain characters in most of his movies.

He has acted more than 1000 films in his career and one the few people to see seven generations of the cinema industry. He also acted in several other languages other than the language Tamil. He is a person who socializes with everyone very easily even being at his status and he has also been a very humorous person in the sets, say the crew members of the industry.

He has acted with many stars, but he is liked by everyone when he worked with M.G.R, Sivaji Ganesan, Gemini Ganesan (Legends of Tamil Cinema).During the period of M.G.R, while he was the chief minister of Tamilnadu, M.G.R was advised to be aware of M.N.Nambiar in the films by village publics, he has been such a performer of all roles, exceptionally as villain. Some of the films to be highlighted are ‘’ Engal Veetu Pillai”, “Aayirathil Oruvan”, “Padagoti” etc... He starred of his villain roles, but rather he resembles to be a very soft, down to earth person. He has no bad habits of boozing or fagging, and a vegetarian in his entire life time. He has been a regular worshiper of the God Swami Iyappan and he has walked to those mountains to worship the god for about 60 years approximately.

My deepest condolence to his family and he died without disturbing anybody in his bed itself. He had a good demise. Let god shower him and take him to the heaven.
